As players accumulate more trophies they will be rewarded with cosmetic upgrades to their castle, access to special Leagues in which they can participate in ranked seasonal play, and eventually access to the Forge, a high-level progression system that allows players to temporarily and permanently increase the levels of cards they own by spending crystals earned at the end of each 3-week season. Players too will be able to progressively improve their standing in the game through winning games and accumulating Trophies, which will also serve as a form of MMR score to allow for fair matchmaking. Cards can be obtained in Chests which are either bought from the in-game shop with either in-game gold or real-world money or won through battle. Cards can be upgraded by combining several copies of the same card and spending some in-game gold with the costs in both numbers of cards required and cold increasing proportionally to the existing card level.

Players will be able to evolve and upgrade their cards as they improve their skills - Minion cards can be upgraded to increase their HP and damage, while spell cards can be made more powerful, with even more devastating effects on your foes.
